Advice and help for food and drink producers
The Channels Clusters programme is now open, helping food and drink producers to work more effectively with wholesalers and retailers.
If you are a food and drink producer based in the INTERREG area, please contact us to discuss how the programme can help you to develop your market and assist you to develop an effective working relationship with wholesalers and retailers.
Each Cluster works with a retailer or wholesaler and is known as the Channel Partner, for example Eurospar. Senior Management within the Channel Partner specify the type of products they wish to work with.
The Channel Clusters project is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Ireland Wales Programme (INTERREG 4A) and the Welsh Assembly Government, Bord Bia and Enterprise Ireland.
Current Clusters in Ireland and Wales are working with a range of wholesale and retail businesses:
Good Food Distributors
UK Independent Farm Shops and Delis
La Rousse Foods
Associated Craft Butchers
The project provides a range of support for food and drink producers. This includes business mentoring, cluster meetings, retail study tours, trade exhibitions and workshops.
The INTERREG region includes the counties of Gwynedd, Anglesey, Denbighshire, Conwy, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Adjacent counties are also eligible but to a limited extent: Swansea, Flintshire and Wrexham.
